Accessibility Statement
Our accessibility commitments, the standards we target, and how to report a barrier.
Our commitment
This portal is used to manage sensitive financial administration records. Access to those records must not depend on a person's ability to use a mouse, to perceive colour, or to run JavaScript. The interface is built so that the information is available through standard assistive technology.
Standard we target
The portal is designed against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA success criteria. This is a target, not a claim of certification, and no independent audit has been carried out.
Reporting a barrier
If you encounter a barrier using this portal, please tell us. Include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using. We will respond and, where the barrier can be removed, prioritise a fix.
Contact: support@example.com or telephone +1 (555) 010-2200.
Alternative formats
If you need information from the portal in an alternative format — for example a larger print copy of a record, or assistance over the telephone — contact the operator and a member of the team will help.
Measures implemented
- A skip link is the first focusable element on every page, so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation.
- All form inputs have an associated, visible label. Placeholder text is never the only label.
- Focus states are clearly visible on every interactive element, with a high-contrast outline.
- Status is never communicated by colour alone: every status badge also carries a text label.
- Error messages are announced to assistive technology and are linked to the field they concern.
- Decorative illustrations are hidden from assistive technology; meaningful images carry alternative text.
- Tables use proper header cells and captions so their structure is available to screen readers.
- Chart data is accompanied by a table or list of the same figures, so the information is available without the visual.
- The layout reflows to a single column on small screens and remains usable without horizontal scrolling.
- Reduced-motion preferences are respected: animations are suppressed when the operating system requests it.
- The portal remains usable without JavaScript. Navigation is ordinary links and forms post normally.
- Colour combinations target WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios for text and interface components.
Known limitations
We are not aware of any WCAG 2.1 AA failure in the portal. The following limitations are recorded honestly so that users can plan around them:
- The portal has not been tested with every combination of browser and screen reader. Testing has been carried out with common combinations on desktop and mobile.
- Documents you upload are stored as provided. Their internal accessibility is determined by the document you supply; the portal does not transform document contents.
- Some administrative tables are wide by nature. On narrow screens they scroll horizontally within their container rather than breaking the page layout.
